Will it slide down like my other braces?
That's the problem ReFit was built around. A silicone grip band on the top edge holds the brace against your thigh. If the knit relaxes during the day, one or two clicks of the dial take up the slack. You don't pull it back up and you don't re-strap anything.
Is it for arthritis or an old knee injury?
No brace cures arthritis or heals an injured knee, and ReFit doesn't claim to. What it gives you is support and comfort while you move: even compression around the joint, a gel ring that cushions the kneecap, and flexible stabilizers on both sides. Because the dial adjusts while it's on, you can add support for the stairs and ease off when you sit, instead of living with one fixed tightness all day.
How is it different from a sleeve or a Velcro wrap?
A sleeve has one tightness, all day: too loose and it slides, too tight and it digs in. A Velcro wrap needs re-strapping, and the Velcro wears out. ReFit has a dial instead. It tightens in small clicks and releases in a second, so the fit changes with what you're doing.
Can I wear it all day?
Yes. That's the point of the dial. Snug it for the stairs or a walk, release it and add back a click or two when you sit at your desk or in the car. It should feel snug, never tight, so it's comfortable enough to keep on through a full day or a long shift. Take it off at night.
Which size do I need?
Go by body weight: M 99–143 lbs, L 143–187 lbs, XL 187–231 lbs, 2XL 231–276 lbs. Prefer to measure? Measure around your thigh, 7 inches above the top of your kneecap: M 13.8–15.7", L 15.7–18.1", XL 18.1–21.3", 2XL 21.3–24.4". Between sizes? Go one size up: the dial takes up the slack. Each brace is made for a left or a right knee, so pick the knee too.
